I've been looking around at fork braces for my 2nd gen. Looks like they may also fit the VF500's if anyone is interested.

I already know that the VF500 and the VFR750 have the same diameter forks. Just need to confirm the width from Fork centerline to fork centerline.

The VF500F already has a sort of fork brace built into the front fender.

Will the '87 750/700 Tarozzi fork brace fit the '86 750/700?

I'm also in contact with Superbrace.

I took some measurements for them and put it all on a template they sent me.

    Fingers are crossed.

Sweet, let us know if those measurements are different for the '86, Slowbird.
If it is the same I'll probably be splurging on one soon for #2.

As far as I can tell the Fork diameters are the same for an 86 VF500 and an 86 VFR750F.

The space from Fork Centerline to Fork Centerline I have no idea.

Heard back form the Tarozzi distributor. If we got a group buy together they would do $59.04 per brace, and $64.18 for shipping to the States. If we have less than 10 in the lot, then it would be $80.86 per brace, and if we use PayPal instead of bank transfer, then add 3% surcharge...

I'm in for one....pending a response from Superbrace.

Edit: I'll see if the new owner of my VF500 wants one.

Dukie, every different manufacturer that I have checked so far has the same dimensions for 84- VF500, 86-89 VFR750/700, so I think were good with that part number.

Slow, this link might help you out with your dimensions checking into Superbrace or Jamie. It lists tube diameter at mount point, and distance across center.

Thanks Jeff. I got the measurements and sent them to Superbrace the other day. Just waiting for a response.

I measured the mounting point of the VF500 Fork and it's the same as the '86 VFR750.

The center distance I only measured on my VFR750. Dookie, if you are unsure just get a measuring tape and measure the distance from the top of one fork to the other.

Fast From the Past got back to me. $99 retail price, and if we get 10 orders together he'll give us 20% discount. So $80 plus shipping from GA. Sounds the right deal to me. Orders expected by end of Sept is only drawback as Tarozzi took off for the month of August. All we need now is 10 people on board.

And yes, this fits the 86 as well. I mean 86, 87, 89 VFR 750's/700's have the same Showa fork setup right? SebSpeed?

    86 vfr fork brace

I'm down for 1 if it will fit a 1986 vfr. I've contacted Superbrace before and they said it wasn't worth their time.
