Seemed like a good topic. So what's your favorite road(s) / trip / ride in the Northeast Region? Let's rate from 1-5.

    1. Nice, but needs work to be great
    2. Nicer, but still issues, surface not so great, scenery not the best, but still a "good" road worth a look.
    3. Great surface, no cops, but not the best scenery (or stop lights) or whatever, or vice versa
    4. Becoming pretty awesome
    5. Truly EPIC!! Brand new blacktop, Amazing scenery, cops throw rose petals and bow as you go roaring by, gorgeous naked women at every rest stop.... Or just the road that is "Epic" to you.

Disclaimer....Ladies on the forum exchange "Naked Women" for "Free Louis Vuitton Bags", and sorry for any disrespect

Hmmm.... Thought this would have been more popular. Ok, I will go first.

From I-287 take Palisades Pkwy North to Exit 14, follow County Rd 98 (Gate Hill Road, eventually 17A) through some nice twisties (some very tight, and a bit of rough road, but great scenery, lakes, etc, watch out for deer). Come out of the twisties and it opens up into two lanes (do what you must here ;), go about 2 miles or so and look for an unassuming turn lane left to Long Meadow Road. This road is ridiculous, some long straightaways, high speed sweepers, great pavement, and not much danger (cops, cars, houses, etc). Go all the way to the end, and you come to a T. Go left for another unbelievable road, Sterling Mine Road, which is brand new fresh blacktop and great twisties, that will spit you out eventually by Rhodes Tavern, great place to stop and have a cold drink. <OR>, take that T to the right and enjoy the same fresh blacktop and twisties through Ringwood along yet another gorgeous lake. This is a great area to just get lost all day.

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (only for the rough road on Gate Hill), otherwise, it would be EPIC...

    Enjoy!

That's my favorite route near my house. But I don't think I ever saw a single naked person ever. Maybe I was so much focused on the road hazards. Try some back roads behind Wanaque Reservoir instead of going down Sterling Mine Road next time.

Wanaugh looks good on Google Maps. Do you have a specific road you like. Would really like to find some more twisties around here with good pavement and little to no traffic. Hard to find in my neck of the woods... Thanks Irvfr

    Depends on traffic.
Rt 191 from Stroudsburg to Bangor. It's about a 4 mile climb from bottom to top with the back side open and sweepy for some serious speeds.
Rt 191 from Buck Hill to Hawley.
Rt 423 from Pocono Pines to Sterling Forest.
State Rt 2001 From Dingman's to Milford.
    Rt 17 A.
Lower Smith Gap road from Little Gap to Saylorsburg.

......................I could go on and on.
