Like title says, I just picked up a 2000 VFR thats got a salvage title and needs some cosmetics. Got it for 950 bucks, so I would say that its a good deal even so.

    Heres what I need:

    Gauges
    Gauge and fairing bracket
    Right Clip-on
    Headlights
    Front headlight fairing
    Tip over sensor

Let me know if you got insight on the best places to get these.

    Thanks!

    Anybody?

Also, how hard is it to retro fit 2002 plastics onto a 2000?

eBay. If you can't find used try shspowersports.com

As for fitting 2002 plastics to 2000 they're not compatible and you'd have to do some serious modding just to get them to fit. Not worth the hassle. You could try nicecycle.com for cheap plastics for the 2000 model.

    Thanks.

I tried ebay, but couldnt find anything directly for it. Do the raised VFR750 clip ons match the 98-01? Any place that sells OEM parts seems to be very expensive for gauges and plastics.

Also, what other bikes swing arm is a direct bolt on for the SS swing arm?

    Welcome aboard.

The 1998-2001 are all the same as far as body style and engine/frame.
Because these bikes are 10 years old now it is becoming harder to find plastics and parts. Any OEM supplier is going to charge a premium.
I have had the most luck just being patient and waiting for a bike being parted out. They show up on here every few months.

    Good Luck.

Are they the exact same as the 2000, and straight? The camera angle doesnt allow a raise to be seen, but if they are, then I will take them!

In another thread I posted that I was going to make a Go Kart/ Buggy out of a VFR750 engine that I had, but I changed my mind to making a Reverse trike. This is what Im trying to mimick, just done a little differently.

    www.mride.se

I am thinking about using this VFR800 but Im told the SS swing arm will flex in the corner with the extra weight, and it wont let me put a decent car tire on the rim. I know that these swing arms are wanted to make other bikes single sided, but what bikes have direct bolt on swing arms?

If I do this, then I would have a good set of forks, front brakes, and tire/rim/wheel/axle/etc for sale, along with the SS swing arm and whatever isnt transferable.

They are straight. Just replaced with Heli high bars. Should be the same as the 2000 model but I will check.

How much would you want for the Swingarm setup complete. ??

If they are the same as the 2000, then give me your paypal and I'll buy them.

Dont know if ebay is playing tricks with me, but the cheapest I could find the swing arm by itself was 250, without anything else. Im not sure what a good price would be, especially since I just put on new tires, sprockets, and brake pads.
