I added an article under VFR Info showing the installation of my new Stebel.

After further testing please do not mount this over the front wheel. It WILL impact the fender under hard braking! My apologies for not testing this before I posted it.

Moderators, can someone please pull the How-to article?

    Apologies,
    Geeze

Have you ridden it yet? How about clearance between the horn and the front fender? Might the fender bump the horn? You did a great, clean install no doubt about that. Clearance issues would be on my mind though.

It hasn't hit yet but I see where it could. I think I'll shorten the mounting bracket tomorrow to eliminate the possibility.

    Nice catch!

Is that the one from twistedthrottle.com?

I just ordered them, and will have to do the install.

OK, I updated the article. This install WILL impact at 70% compression (guess). I moved the install a bit to give clearance to 80-85% (guess) compression. That's all I can get.

    PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS!

Is there room to move it up higher where is is more behind the front cowl? It's still a good how-to article, and I noticed you posted a warning so I think people will realize it either needs to set up higher in the bike or another location needs to be found for mounting it. Keep us informed and the how-to can always be edited to reflect new info. :thumb:

Any progress on finding a new place to mount that didn't interfere?

How 'bout removing the evap canister and relocating your horn there?

    Nope.

I'm not eager to remove the evap canister and I can't find room under the plastic due to ABS. Honestly, I've been too busy riding to be taking the bike apart for any extended period so my search has been haphazard at best. Maybe I'll duct tape 'em to the fairing for the time being...
