Yeah, don't get Tori started about how much the American announcers suck compared to the Brits. He watches all the races and says the play by play is much more applicable in WSBK (I think)...

    Hey PB,

Some freinds and I rode Virginia International Raceway recently and it was the most technical track I have ever tried to ride; I didn't like the Full Course as much as I thought I would. betarace has ridden Laguna twice and he hated it LOL! Claims it was much, much harder to ride than VIR.

I don't even want to try!

Tori rode Laguna Seca and loved it. He said it was the most fun he's ever had at the track and a real challenge. He said Infineon was harder but still a nice track. There's something about riding the same track where the GP guys ride...

What a great weekend.Great food, lots of beer, bikes everywhere I looked, amazing weather, hotties with very little on.
Friends that I am always eager to see, and always sad to see go. We are already making plans for next year.

For any of you that plan on visiting Monterey, find a place called the Muck Duck. It is an English style pub with great food up front and a pretty fun music scene out back.
The first night there was an 80's-ish rock band that had tons of energy and sounded great. While we were watching them we saw a dude fresh from Africa with furry hyena shoes and a bum dancing in his pajamas. The second night was a blues band(in which a friend of mine is the guitarist). They had the grannies dancing and taking off their clothes. There was a young guy in a very tight mini skirt as well.

Another high light of the trip was V4Bear meeting the Sac crew. Bear joined NorCalBoy and I at the track last year, but this was his first chance to meet many of the California guys.

Cannery Row is a nice place...when there aren't a billion people there. We enjoyed our visit there on Thursday evening, but Saturday night was just crap. We will avoid it next year.

Thanks to everyone for showing up, it was an awesome weekend.

I raced cars and bikes at Infineon (Sears Point) many times but I prefer
Laguna Seca because it is more challenging and has more extreme elevation changes.

Many years ago when there was no motorcycles racing at Laguna (use to be with
SCCA car races at lunch time) I was able to put together a demonstration race
of 33 grand prix bikes, including the Suzuki factory team. The object was to get
bikes back on Laguna. It worked . . . the rest is history. Since it was just a demo
race I added nitro go-kart fuel to my bike (Yamaha 250 TD1C) and it really made a
difference. I was passing 500 cc bikes pretty well until my engine blew. :frown:

Checking in.......flights back to Louisville uneventful and safely back home now.

    Amazing weekend. Highlights:

    Decent hotel, good location.

The Mucky Duck.....The Duck always delivers, whether its bum dancing for your amusement, Grandma stripping, Mini-skirt clad men (had to be a lost bet), crazed DJ thumping 20 something posers, good food, great workers, you name it, the Duck has it.

Breakfast each morning at the Old Monterey Cafe, voted best breakfast in Monterey. Successfully negating the effects of overindulgence in style.

Bikes out the wazzooo..... the dulcet tones of the call of the crazed stunna as the motor stays pinned to the rev limiter, which by the way is exactly like a high pitched "motorboat" ......know what Im saying?

    Racing.

    Beer.

    Hot chicks barely clothed.

    Meeting the Sactown Allstars.

Our new secret post up spot out in Carmel Valley.

    Oh my......hells yes.

Those decals NCB had made for me....the sickest ever . Thats going on my seat cowl

There's more, but I must decompress for a few hours so I dont get the bends.

i'm seriously looking into doing the full jet program next year, don't know if i'll be able to pull it off, but right now i'm thinking it's doable.

The sunday the week before the race, flying down to cabo and chillin' until wednesday night (spoke to juan at siesta suites about what the earliest date to throw down a reservation would be and said just let him know the dates and the penthouse will be made available Siesta Suites Hotel Cabo San Lucas, i'm thinking about just buying the room for three nights right now) flying back into sfo wednesday night, hittin' a hotel in san jose for the night, then rolling into monterey thursday around 11 am. not sure i want to do the bromance love suite next year........what i will do is a freaking suite ticket though....i'm hearing august we might be able to buy the suite tickets, start saving your duckets.

    whattya think bear, you in?
