Not without modifying the connection points or modifying the fairings both of which would be major pains.

If you change the tail you would have to change the seat to right ?

OH and two more things, i want to change the gauges to digital ones like the Acewell ones or the Koso ones, would i have any trouble?

And there are no wheels that fit the 1986 VFR750's without ANY modification at all right ?

i know f2 and f3 wheels are not bad to get on and i have some fairings for an 86 for sale i also have upper fairings with screen (has been cut down a bit). pm if interested. and yeah to put on a new tail you would need to change the seat and subframe more than likely since the seat gets wide in the rear.

    2000 R6 race tail

On Kris's '92 I cutdown the tail frame extention to accomidate a 2000 Yam R6 tail. it did requre cutting away some of the factory mounts and building brackets for others. it was not as bad as you would think. I've seen a gen 4 on the site that was sporting 2003 CBR600 front plasics and looked fantastic. I'm in the planning mode of using a more modern upper fairing, wind screen and mirrors. If you arnt afraid to think out of the box a bit and mod, cut, chop and weld the mounting hardware, it can be done.

i put a 03-04 cbr600rr tail on my vfr700, had to build a custom subframe...actually its not really that hard and gives the VFR a newer look...in the process of trying to put a cbr600f2 upper fairing mount on front end, because airtech has a great conversion kit for newer sleeker race fairings. if i can not figure that out i will just go with vfr700 fairing, since i have those already.

It's easy and can be done in minutes with no drilling required.
