    Hi all,

    Two things :)

    1. I just registered today and wanted to show you the bike I finally purchased after a year and a half of searching.

    2. Im trying to find A service manual but can't find the exact one, anyone have a good one for the 85 vf 750 f series? the clymer mag's said they'd cover vf 750 f upto only 84' :( OH well onto the pics:

I picked up this beauty for a $1000 Canadian w/ 53k miles on it. Someone loved this bike for sure, cause it shows... everything runs great, just needs new tires and an oil change.
Had new Brakes, new exhaust and has nearly 0 rust.

I have to apologize for their size, I don't have a program that can properly crop them...

Hope you enjoyed! ill try to find a way to crop more pics as I rebuild this bike back to its original beauty!

    Welcome. Where are you?

Everyone here uses the official Honda manual as there number one source. I have sort of scraped by with my Clymer and lots of help on this forum. You should be able to find both on ebay, kijiji, etc. or from you shop (for millions of dollars).

Bike looks clean. I would be very curious about its service history with that mileage.

They sold like that up here for all 1985 models. Most of them have worn off a bit, but not on this bike. Maybe there was little or no two-up riding on it.

Well the bike is all fixed up, Here's what was broken/needing replacement:

Needed new front and rear tires (Bridgestone battleaxe)
    Front and rear sprockets
    Front Fork seals and oil
    Oil Change
    New Chain.

    Under 1k

I'm now in the process of removing all the body parts and getting at the grime, dust, and road build up which I'll post pics of.
Soon as its dry, I'll be getting at the small amount of surface rust, and then re-paint areas needing to be touched up, and finally apply polish/wax.
Also changing out rusted bolts/screws and buying missing screws from windshield.

Hey all! I'm back with a show for you all!

So like I mentioned before, Since I got the bike back I removed the body panels off and chain guard so far.

Now I realize that to get down to the really gritty stuff, i'm going to have to take off my Dual exhaust.

Here's the picture of the headers that the exhaust feeds into:

Sorry for the fuzzyness, camera's really crappy.

Now I gotta ask a stupid question as I'm not car/motorcycle savvy, and have been relying on Youtube, the internet and the fact that I can put bolts & screws back in place as long as I mark them down.

I checked the service manual, and on page 75 found a basic diagram for the removal of the exhaust but found no explanations or better images of what else goes with it.

If I remove the headers and exhaust from my engine, will any device or sealed rings or O Rings pop out and require some specific tool or a guy who's "Done it before"?

Now that that's taken care of, here are some more pictures:

Look how perfect the side panels are, absolutely beautiful! might keep these off!

Instrument panel is pretty basic and as well scratched from I think improper cleaning/care so I'm thinking about getting something new and flashy, can anyone point me to a custom instrument panel company that works on our bikes?

That's how generally dirty the bike is, I'm lucky as there really isn't a lot of oil based grime, mostly dirt and easily cleaned!!!

Last but not least, this is the plan:

Using this guide to clean my bike : YouTube - Clean your Motorcycle - Part 1

I will get it all done up then sand down the surface rust, re-lacquer certain areas, and re-paint others.

This bike will end up being completely stock except for the instrument panel.

I think the Koso gauges look the best, but they aren't as cheap
