Goodridge Speed Bleeders for VFR800FI ('98-'01)

Hi everyone,

I'd like to replace my factory bleeder ports with speed bleeders for easier bleeding. A search tought me I need Goodridge SB8125 or SB8125L bleeders, but I don't know the difference between the two and am not sure which one to pick.
The bleeders are for a Honda VFR800FI, the 5th gen version.

Does anyone here have the answer for me?

Bump - I'd like to know too.

 

First off I'm going to say that this is pure speculation and that I'm going out on a limb here. Based upon what I have gathered over the years with any type of fitting, my guess is that the two differ in that the SB8125L has a 90 degree bend in it and is an L shape. Would make it easier to access in certain areas or angle downward for bleeding purposes.

 

The SB8125L is longer than the SB8125. They are both straight. I have a 96 VFR and I got the SB8125L, could have gotten either one to be honest. The SB8125L is probably too long and doesn't seat all the threads, so I had to be very careful not to over tighten it.

I think I want these. Place I order from has 7mm, 8mm and 10mm. Anyone know which is the correct size for the 5th gen.

Glad you started this thread. I was just about to start looking for the speed bleaders myself. Thanks everyone...

 

I ordered the kit to completely replace my bleeders with SpeedBleeders. Here's what was in it: 1 SB8125L, 1 SB8125LL, 5 SB8125. All M8 X 1.25. Hope this helps.

 

Probably a dumb question, but why does the kit contain 7 different speed bleeders?

 

There are seven bleed points in the stock system, ergo, seven bleeders.

 

Is there a how too anywhere that goes through the correct order/sequence of what to bleed? I think there are two screws on each front caliper, 2 screws on the rear and one near the rear res, so seven in total bleed points (8 if you count the clutch).

 

Actually 8 if you count the clutch slave cylinder
