Hey everyone just thought I would introduce myself and share my interesting story with you. This last Sunday I happened across an add on CL (craigslist) for an old 84 vf500f Interceptor, at this point I did not know the gold mine I was sitting on. The bike itself has seen better days but I am sure with a little elbow grease she could look dashing again. The man selling it said that the only problem with it was that there was a leak between carb one and carb 2. If you put a bit of fuel in the carbs she will start so I know the engine is good. Now I know nothing about bikes but I really wanted one and I am pretty mechanically savvy so I thought I would see if I could fix it. Picked it up for $600. My initial thought about this bike was that it was old but looks sporty enough for a begginers bike. However in my search for a diagram for the carbs (witch are the weirdest setup I have ever seen) I chanced across VFRworld and here I am...

I will be posting pics in a few days I am away from home at the moment so I cant get at the bike. I will also post in the apropriate help section with pics of the carbs.

Ride Well, Ride Fast, Ride Fun, and most importantly Ride Safe.
    Jake

Where the hell is Vancouver? Is it anywhere near Hastings and Main? Wasn't there some sort of big sporting event there recently?

Welcome to this mad site. We Canucks are poised to take over this site. Soon everyone will need a Canadian passport to enter this site. To bad you did not come around and get your ride a little earlier. About 25 of us are going on a three day ride this weekend. Check this out:

We should meet for a joe or a beer sometime. I drive into Surrey every day to work from the Wack. Sorry I can't help you on your mechanical issues. I create more than I solve.
