...and I have to admit, I've not been in any rush to post to a seemingly anti Gen7 forum... but as a rider who has been riding bikes since 12 and just turned 55, countless miles and types of motorcycles ridden... I will succinctly state, THIS is truly an awesome bike.... ok, and yes mine happens to be especially unique.

IMHO anyone who disses the new VFR, the 1200F DA included, without seat time on one, just seems well.... uninformed and uneducated as well as pre-biased. A pity really (reaches hand out in friendship).

oh, and the VFR with a stablemate.

Those two very sexy bikes. Are those OEM bags on the VFR?

I have to say that most pictures just don't seem to do the bike any justice. I haven't had any seat time in one yet but I did finally get to see one in person and sit on it last week. I was much more impressed in person that with what I had seen on the internet and could possibly see myself with one in the future. Of course it would only be the dual clutch version with oem side cases and abs.... But I do want to wait a few years to see what kind of bugs might be uncovered and to see what different paint schemes are gonna be available. I think that the 7th gen would look sharp if they did another run of the VFR in Asphalt Black, and look very good parked beside its matching 6th gen counterpart in my garage...

Thanks for the warm welcome and yes will definitely post a review when I have more miles logged, as well as pics.

Regarding color, when I saw the "spy" pics of the black one during testing, I had pretty much made up my mind on black... which of course is not an option this year. Ok, well white isn't either over here, but I managed to get all the OEM white panels and bags from the UK and bring them over!

Guess, I wanted to be unique for awhile lol, and in person the white IS hot! ... and mondo cool.

Like so many completely new bikes, there are always critics. I don't think there is any real reason not to love new Honda engineering save maybe the price.
I also own a CBR1100xx which was also poorly accepted in the beginning because it's sedate looks, but time has proven it to be one of the greatest bikes ever created. I now, like many others, wouldn't give up my XX for anything.

Congrats on the new toy and personally I think I like your VFR1200 color the best so far.

    Congrats Zilla.

White was my first choice, but as you're well aware NA only gets the Candy Red. Down the road I may follow your lead and order the white panels, but for now I'm just pacin' the floor waiting for all my accessories to arrive...any day now.

    Congrats, enjoy, and welcome!!!!
