So this is what I walked out to at work yesterday afternoon:

It was only 90 degrees out, but the asphalt must have had a bubble in it or something.

Anyway, the right side fairing and front cowling are all scratched to hell.

I just checked on ebay but didn't see either part. And the dealer wants $1000+ to replace them.

Anyone have any ideas on where to get replacement fairings???

    Thanks!

You could always try those Chinese fairing kit's on ebay. Other than that I'd hit your local bike board and see if there's any local guys that do good repair work and go that route. Most Used fairings on ebay are on there because their damaged from what I've seen.

But do your self a favour and go to Home depot and buy a some round electrical plate covers. Use them under your side stand so the bike doesn't punch through the pavement again. In this heat I'm guess quite a few riders have walked out to finding their bike on it's side.

    I'll check around locally -thanks!

I do have a plate I use for the side stand. The bike was on the centerstand when it fell over.

Between the heat and an apparent defect underneath the asphalt was the key to all of this.

I guess it's just a reminder that even on the centerstand bikes can fall over!

Try buff them out the best you can and ride as is for a while until you find new fairing. RWB fairing are hard to get. I am not thrill with Chinese fairing................I rather get the OEM , Remember you get what you paid for! I can get you 20% off from my local stealership.
