Is anyone going to Barber this year. If you have not been there it is definitely worth the trip. BMP is near Birmingham, AL. It is a great spectator track, the whole place is manicured like a golf course. Park your bike and take a tram to different areas of the track. Then go to Barber's museum - 5 floors of motorcycles and also some F1 cars as well.

I live in S. Florida and will ride to Barber for the races, then will go to the N. Georgia, TN and NC mountains for the next week, finally returning home the following weekend. Hotels are pretty cheap. I got one 20 miles from the track for $45 a night and best thing is its next to a Hooters and a Starbucks.

This is also a good time of year as it will have cooled off by then. Check it out.

Hey Rollin, I have the same challenge and usually start my pitch with... "there comes a time in a mans life..." Doesn't always work though. Last time I used it was for a Vmax, and have had several bikes since so I am constantly having to come up with new material.

    Good luck
