Check out the 2001 VFR800 on ebay iteam 280530584690 built for racin and lighting fast
I would love to see how you build a vfr800 into a 1300cc. I emailed him for build info but all he sends me back is more BS. Anybody know where i can get a stroker crank for my bike? I want to make mine lightning fast to. R1's and GSXR1000's are going to tremble!!!!

Maybe if enough people ask to see some build pics or reciepts he will show some proof.

I'm going to go ahead & call shenanigans. I'm not calling the seller a liar per se, but I find it very diffiult to believe that someone would spend that kind of cash on a one-of-a-kind bike to just dump it on Ebay for a low price. Couple that to the complete lack of details, ie... bore? stroke? deck height? fueling? induction?

None of it adds up. It's probably just a run-of-the-mill 800 that's been track thrashed & dumped. Show some picks of the engine work, some receipts from the machine shop or something like that & I'll change my tune.

    KC-10 FE out...

    funny stuff

On Jul-06-10 at 13:22:29 PDT, seller added the following information:

IIIIve had alot of questiuons about the motor .It is as built as you can max an 800 Out

it's just a trashed up 800 with automotive parts stickers...

atleast use bike related stickers ie: DiD, vortec, aria ect .. Not jegs summit & eibach

somebody should message him & ask where he got the engine built .. cuz you too have a 5th gen track bike

Let's see, a 2001 with only 300 miles, bill of sale only, and being sold by a seller that typically sells toys.

I think the Summit racing sticker is the best. Or maybe the little Edelbrock on the front fender. :pound:

I like that it's "built" but has stock brakes, stock suspension, stock pegs, stock bars, stock wheels, stock everything... now what are the chances the motor is built, and not one handling component has been touched?

    I call bullshit.

It is a free country and people can say what ever they want.

But be careful. I knew a guy that built HONDA 160's into 240's. I saw it with my own eyes.
He would win the 250 class all the time with the bike set up for dirt track.

Lets see... 800 cc devided by 4=200cc then add 125cc to each cylinder.
1300 devided by 4=325cc per cylinder

I am wondering if the VF1100 or vf 1000 barrels would fit into the 800cc cylinder case.

But when I read "Bike is bright red. Very healthy" It makes no sense.
I see no sign of a shop on the property. Only a garage with a car in it and exercise machine. And hes says "we" What does that mean????

If you made a 800cc bike into a 1300cc bike that holds together and you would want to tell about it. I will contact the seller and see what he says. Shall we? OK......I will return with his answer.

Lets give the seller a chance to answer now.....tap...tap....tap...(better be good)

"built" What does that mean?? Means nothing. I f I was selling it and had a lot invested into it I would list the work and parts invested wouldn't you??

Lets see the vfr800 has a 72mm x 48mm bore and stroke. the vf1100 had a 79.5mm x 55mm. and the new vfr1200 has a 81mm x 60mm bore and stroke. so even if you could put bigger jugs on ( which your limited to how big you can go because of bore spacing) there is no way to get there. But lets see we build a new set of cases to except a huge stroker crank that we made in our garage with a pad sander and a stick welder. might work NOT

Sad thing is in my 2 emails with him I think he really belives its all true ( probley some shop fed him a line of bull and took his money )

The only Honda 160's I can recall were twins. So you would be increasing displacement from 80cc per cylinder to 120cc per cylinder, that makes a total increase of 40cc per cylinder. For 4 cylinders that would be an increase of 160cc, so 780cc + 160cc equals 940cc.

IMO the guy is full of BS or has been fed a line of BS and believed it all.

I think the closest member should get down there, buy this beast and let us all know the story as it doesn't appear that the seller will be revealing much more than, "It's built to the max".

You don't usually see statements like this from sellers with 100% feedback but the bike certainly doesn't look like what I would expect given the text provided. Looks like a high school kid had it and thought what he did was cool. Funny that someone building a race fifth gen would focus on the engine when it isn't the limiting factor for a fifth gen on the track.

Oh well, it is all very entertaining!!!

OK...Here is the answer from the seller of the bike.

    QUESTION TO SELLER
    Dear watchdogdmi,

    Looks great!!
    Just a couple questions.
How did you make the bike into a 1300? Bigger pistons? Stroker
crank? How did you do that?

And one more question if you don't mind . Do you have the
registration or title? Thanks for your help.

    ANSWER :word for word.

"My wefhew lost the title and it was in another guys name which he moved and My nefhew know more about all the work done It is built to the max and dont have very many hours on it. and he said about 300 miles It is Lightning Fast and very healthy Dan L"

    Me:
Sounds like a mess. No title, sold by friend of friend. could be stolen.
Would have to check VIN in Des Moines.
    Could be worth checking however.
I would just ignore the 1300cc part. And try to contact the legal owner.

So (Dan L) seller, is selling this for his brothers kid who got it from a friend that moved away.
Needs a complete work up starting at the DMV.

One more thing. We do not know if Dan L is of legal age.

Amen. XD!!! My guess is this just reeks of stolen bike, and these two (apparently) know absolutely nothing about the bike itself. The stickers are a nice touch... It ought to be as fast as the recumbant bike in Akira... possibly faster... although lightning is pretty quick.

I'd avoid that sucker like the plague... The axles are probably held on by Elmer's glue.

Seller states he simply stuffed a Hayabusa crank into it to make it 1300cc.
