How does the vfr800 98 get it's mileage reading from? The bike I got has a bigger spocket on the front and I think that its throwing the miles off. Im only getting 150 mile out of a tank as far as my mileage goes. That don't seem right. Any help on this one?

Not sure onthe 98. sorry. But if the sprocket is lrger than stock, your speed and mileage will be off. Check speedo healer. It is about $120 it will correct your issue. Well, if they have one for your bike that is.

I agree with Bitter, you need to look into the speedo healer. I have one for my 01, which should be mechanically the same as yours. They have excellent calculators for making the adjustments. Mine is absolutely dead on for every radar source I have ever run it against. It will give you an accurate sense of your mileage and more importantly you will know just how fast you are going so hopefully you can avoid meeting your local cops on the road instead of in the coffee shop. Good luck.
