After a bit of searching I am coming up empty handed.

Does anyone know a source for the chain wear sticker, (attaches to the plastic chain guard), used to determine chain stretch(pass/fail)?

Alternatively is their another method to determine if a chain has stretched too far?

I ordered one from the dealer. Somewhere around $10.00. But it was a different size than the original so I don't know how accurate it is.

BTW, that has nothing to do with the chain. It is a gauge to measure the wear on your sprocket. To measure your chain, bike on centre stand, chain rotated to its flattest spot in the centre between the two sprockets. And the sage or tension should be somewhere between 1/2 and 1 1/2 inches. Some will say you should have equivalent to your own weight on the bike while you are doing this. I dunno about that but it does make sense seeing as ideally, you will be riding this thing when you are most worried about chain tension.

pull on the chain on the back side of the rear sprocket, at the 3 o'clock area, if chain lifts off the sprocket so you can see half of the tooth or more, then its gone

As you can see, if the sprocket is past the tab on the guard, it is time to replace the "chain" and sprockets.
