Gen 2/Gen1 full decal hookup

EDIT: Looks like the Graphics he sent are too small. I should have checked before I posted. Ill post an update on what happens as I try for replacements.


I found a UK hookup for Decals. Full vinal set. The dude does good work and he seems honest.

I bought the gen 2 attached. Dont see the Gen1 listed in his store but I know he makes them.

I dont see any listings currently but I know he is up for a group buy for $40 a piece or maybe he can go individual.

Cheaper than the place I just bought a full set of Gen 1 decals from ($150).

They are a perfect fit though so far ( haven't put them all on yet).

Anybody have any tips for installing these straight/bubble free?

 

Be careful. I purchased a set from him and they all were too small, like they were for a midget bike. I'm trying to get the decal's overall size increased to make them fit. He said they were in the mail last week. I'll let you all know how they fit.

 

My set will be arriving in a couple of days so I will also let you know about the fit

be prepared to pay through the nose ($200) CBdecals.com - Decal Kit Solutions for the old Big H Models afe does awesome work, they are considerably more expensive, but they are all scanned from nos decals so every dimension and color is exact.

FYI, I contacted CBdecals awhile back regarding a set for the '84 VF500F. They currently don't offer this and are looking for a local bike to take measurements.

On a side note Reproduction Decals also does excellent work - they produced a set for my 400/4. I checked in with them as well - unfortunately they no longer offer Honda decals. The owner explained that Honda requested that they take these off their site as they are proprietary.

I also received the VF500 decals. Though I didn't even try to fit them it is quite obvious they won't fit and they are totally asymmetrical.
Also trying to work something out.

 

I heard about this site from the SOHC4 forum and people liked using them. Not really cheap but quality does cost.
I'll probably be buying from them soon if Chuck ever gets around to sending my fairings.

I can vouch for Reproduction Decals quality. They made set for a CB400F that I owned. They make a top shelf set of decals.

I had checked in with them awhile back on the VF500F but at the time they did not offer a set for the '84, '85 or '86 models - perhaps they do now?

 

I think so, that email is not more than a month or two old, I think they just can't advertise the fact that they have Honda decals.
I guess you have to ask for what you want.

 

I wish this guy had the color stuff. I did a blue/silver job with a white set like this a couple years ago.

 

Man I did not even think to run down and check the size. The guy has great rep on Ebay. Hopefully he comes through and helps us out. Ive got 3 more sets of rwb to paint.

 

I received an email from the seller on 5/24 stating that a new set was in the post. As of today and several new emails to him, no decals and no email response.....

 

He has told me that he will refund my $$ when I send them back. They are in the mail. I will let you know what happens. He is aware of this thread.

 

I have requested a full refund and the seller has agreed. I don't know if he will process the refund, we'll see.....

 

I returned the set two weeks ago. Seller also promised full refund...

 

I just received a full refund (less the conversion fee from GBP) and I didn't have to send back the midget set.....
