I'm off on my 1st long distance camping trip in August and the question is what do you do with your lid once the tent is up and you're off down to the pub??

    Do you
    1. Stick it in the tent and hope that some light fingered barsteward doesn't come along and nick it
    2. Attach it to the bike with the danger that it will get wet when it rains (I'm going to Scotland so theere is a better than even chance that it will rain )
    3. Carry it about with you
    .

Probably more likely to get stolen at the pub!! I would put it in you sleeping bag (out of sight) and leave it behind. Maybe get a luggage lock and lock the zipper on the tent. I know, It's kind of pointless, but most petty theives are lazy and non-destructive :)

If your worried about rain and theft. Then put it in a small plastic bag then lock to bike. Otherwise just wear it to the pub. Might come in handy if a scuffle breaks out.

As an Englishman with a southern accent going to Scotland, if I pick the wrong pub that advice could be extremely relevant!!! ;-)

Ooh I didn't know. Hey GuitarX has good idea there. See that hand loop on top? You could swing the helmet around with that like a bowling ball. That's only incase you misjudge the pub.

I either lock it in my top box or lock it to my bike with a cable lock. Mostly I just leave it in the tent with the rabid Pit Bull.

What kind of campground are you going to? I generally leave all my crap on the bike including the keys everywhere I go unless it's a busy shopping center or I'm in a sketchy area. The only thing I worry about in the woods while camping is bears thrashing my shit!

Cool, I thought it looked nice too and I'm still contemplating getting one. I'm sure they'll ship worldwide. Let me know what you think of it if you get one!
