I'm sure this has been discussed here before but I couldn't find it in a search...who has the best tire prices? Someplace online? What tire do you recommend for all around touring purposes? Right now I need a front tire, the rear one is good, do you recommend matching front and rear?

I run Metzeler Sport-Tecs front and rear. Got them at South Sound Honda (Oly, WA) for a pretty good price. Don't know if you have to match them but I always have.

Try this place, http://www.tiresunlimited.com/motorcycle_tires.htm if nothing else it's puts you in a postion to strong arm dealers to match their prices, if not a good place to buy from. I've recieved a couple pair now and then and it's always worked out good. Other place is Cycle Gear. they just had not sure if it's still in place were they had a deal buy the rear get the front free on Pirelli Diablos. which by the way I run on..

I just go to my Local Bike shop and give them my business. Two things work out good is your keeeping your money local and support the little guy and the next time you need bailed out or help with your bike you have a friend that doesnt mind cause he knows you do business with him. My rear tire on my 97 VFR got a nail and I told him just put a new one on it....New style Dunlop $150.00 and I was out the door .... mounted balanced. You might ask REG71 how he feels about self mounting tires

South west corner of the state, right on the corner there by the Pacific and the Columbia river. Close to Astoria OR. Very pretty old fishing village, but very wet all the time -- at least when I am there. Also very near where Lewis an Clark stopped to rest, before turning around on their famous journey.

I beleive about an hour and a half out of Olympia.

I buy all my tires from tires unlimited. I live in the same town as them so its a no brainer. Take them the wheel on the way to work, pick it up on the way home, mounted balanced for about 17 bucks and no sailor talk, time for a beer.

What do ya think Reg?
