 UGH! the dealer just told me that Honda has put a hold on all the new VFR's. Curses. I have to wait.

Any one order a 2007? have you been informed of this? what's the excuse they gave you?

I've heard of some delays with the RWB one hitting dealers here in Northern CA, haven't heard why though. It even caused an inpatient friend of mine to buy an FZ1 instead. Is that the one you're after, or is it the red one? I'm curious if it's just with the anniversary model.

    I ordered the tri-color model.

I'm meeting with the salesman on Friday for an update.
He told that the Honda rep was at the dealership when he called me.

I'll pass along what I find out tomorrow. :gossip:

Did you ever get an answer from your dealer? I ordered the 2007 RWB model back on 10/12 and I am still waiting. I just called the dealer again. All he tells me is that he hasn't heard anything, so I just asked him to please find out what the delay is. Honda does not have anything on their website that indicates the bike should be a late release.

december 15, with fingers crossed is my new delivery date.

the dealer gets a notice the moment it hits the US.

In addition, i understand the Honda exclusive dealers get first dibs on the tri-color models.

The salesman explained that they stagger the rollout of new models.
for example, new goldwings have a delivery date in february, the new 600rr, in march.

    hope springs eternal. :becky:

Since my Honda dealer also sells Yamaha and Suzuki, I hope that people (like ourselves) who have firm orders pending, with money down, get our bikes first! I would hope that we take priority over exclusive dealers. I'm keeping my fingers crossed too!

I waited a little over 6 months when I bought my FJR, since Yamaha was only selling them by pre-order at the time. No units on the floor.

I spoke to my dealer today and he told me that the '07 RWB that I ordered back in October won't be in until mid-February. Has anybody else heard the same thing? How about people that have bikes on order? What delivery date did your dealer give you? Has anyone taken delivery of an '07 tri-color yet?

I didn't hear of any delays... Here in RI I already saw one on the floor. I have a deposit for the next one which is already about 3 weeks away. I'll try to post the pic I took the other day at the dealership.... Maybe its only a west coast delay.....

We are expecting to receive several '07 VFR's by the end of Dec. or very early Jan. I have not been able to get a firm date yet, but we have started getting other '07 models in so I'm feeling confident that we will soon have some VFR's gracing our sales floor. I'll post an update as soon as i have some info.

I ordered my tri-color on 10/19 which was, from what I understand, the last day of the dealer pre-order. The only thing I can figure is that maybe I'm in the tail end of the queue which is why I'm being told February. Since I've already given a deposit, and the dealer knows I will pay the balance when he gets the bike, I've got to believe that he would like to get it to me as soon as possible.

I was at a local Honda Dealer here in Tucson about month or two ago asking about the new RWB VFR and they too told me they wouldn't arrive until Feb. or March.

Saw one at the Toronto bike show on the week-end and both colours but the red white and blue looks like a police magnet to me. I will get the tri colour anyways but some were saying could be the last year but they sure were gettting alot of attention.

The VFR production line is closing down, and will be done by end of 07, I don't think you will see many new VFR's in 07.

Honda's only trick to sell the 07's is a paint job very sad.

If the manufacturing line goes till Dec of '07, not only would there be plenty of '07s, but there would likely be some badged as '08s; as that is the way large scale motor vehicle manufacturing works. The vehicles are usually built for some time before they reach the dealer.

Not that I for one think Honda is walking away from the VFR name. Still don't. Still haven't seen any reliable source for that story, nor has anyone offered up a logical reason why Honda would. We may be in for big changes, but I still seriously doubt that they would walk away.

Only a paint job change is sad? How long have you been buying cars and or bikes? Besides all out sport bikes, that is pretty common. Heck, don't even look at the Concours and how long that has existed with very few changes, and the same color. Or the KLR, or any number of bikes.
