As I was commuting to work on my Gen 5 for the first time today I could faintly hear Celine Dion singing "it's all coming back to me now" Did I just say celine Dion? That's right because today was like reconnecting with a high school sweet heart. I used to own a Gen 3 and loved it. Sadly I traded it and cash for an R1 many years ago. I loved the R1 and all but I missed that VFR750. It's been 4 years since I sold my Superhawk and have been bikeless since. My wife who owns several bikes said I should get a bike and found this Gen5. WOW this bike has it all. Last night I did the airbox hose removal mod. and that chiga-chiga-chiga underload is now a roar comensurate with the bikes looks. Anyways glad to be here and back on a VFR. Look forward to learning lots from all you guys and gals. And if this is in the wrong forum section I apologize, my grin is too large to care.

I remember when I was 12 in 1984 and a group of street bikers in our neigborhood had a vfr1000 sitting on the lawn while they hung out, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Pic added.

Welcome, there is heaps of great stuff here.
Yep the VFR is the one. Tested 5 Triumph Sprints. Then rode a friends VFR750 (gen4) Loved it. Bought a Gen 5 the next week. Why have 3 cylinders when you can have V4!!
