    Hi Everyone,

I want to buy a 4th generation VFR750 as my next bike, but I am a bit worried as to whether I will be able fit on one comfortably. I am 6ft 3inches tall and find that some bikes are just way too small for me! I can fit on a late CBR600F comfortably enough, if that helps?

So, are there any tall people on this site that still manage to fit comfortably on their VFR?

    Thanks,

    Rob

    I'm 6' 7", 225lbs. and I fit fine on my '97. I've taken a couple of 2-3 hour trips without a problem. Just for reference, I don't fit on a late model CBR600F...

One of the 30 or so reasons I bought the VFR was the size of the bike.

I'm 6' 3" and 195 lbs. I fit pretty good on my '86 750 as far as foot to knee position, and the handle bars are within comfortable reach. I know the 2nd Gens are a tad different in set up than the 4th Gens, but just thought I'd put it out there that most of the guys I see riding VFR's around here are about my size too.

6'3" and 220 lbs. No complaints on my Gen 3.
Very happy to find a bike that fits and I actually like.

Thanks for all of the replies! It looks like I should be okay then. I am set on getting a late VFR750 as it just seems like the perfect bike, but was slightly worried about not being able to fit on one, however you guys have reassured me.

Thanks again, I look forward to becoming a real VFR owner in a couple of months time!

    :)

Pretty easy to fit lower pegs on it too, if its a little cramped on the legs.

Yeah if leg room becomes a problem then I will most probably do that. The majority of my riding is long distance, 200 odd mile trips between home and work once a week, so comfort is essential for me.

I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs and ride a 5th gen. It's pretty much the same fit as 4th gen. I have 4th gen bars and slid my forks up a bit for a little more aggressive turn in. I also have heli bars if I want to sit more upright. The VFR is pretty versatile. (maybe that's what the V is supposed to stand for) I have done short trips all the way up to 600+ miles days. It gets uncomfortable after 200 miles IMO, but pretty much anything does to me at that point.

I'm 6'2" 220 and ride a '96. Handlbars and reach are fine. Foot pegs could be lower. I didn't know there was a way to lower them. Is that one of those
steel brackets they sell for 600 dollars? I've seen race ones or adjustable ones that are hyper expensive. If I ride more than 100 miles, I shift my toes up to the
passenger pegs and go through a bunch of positions. My ankles have always been flexible (freakishly so) but my knees throb, go numb, and get stiff after about
400 miles. Is that the cycle or me? My last cycle was an '82 Goldwing and I've never been on anything more comfortable. A solution I haven't tried yet, for various reasons, is to install ST1300 pegs on the VFR. They are wider, and have rubber pads.

6'4", 185, fit just fine. only problems are: my shins sometimes lightly touch the the rear of the fairing, not a big issue. more difficult to solve is getting the rear brake pedal low enough so I dont have to lift my foot off the peg to operate it. have long legs and my feet point down quite a bit. Gear pedal can be positioned pretty low, but brake pedal is at the lowest possible position and still too high. should be easy to sort though.

menace, they were probably referring to the buell footpegs. from what I remember, they are pretty much bolt-on and lower them a half inch or so. I'm not sure if availibility is worse now that they are defunct, though. last I read about them, they were pretty cheap, though.
