    Hi

Just been doing a service on my 87 VF500F.

Thought you might like a look at the Carbs.

Adjusted the floats, Honda say 6.8mm, I set em slightly leaner at 7.00mm As I hardly ever need the choke except in the coldest of winters which ain't that bad in the UK.

Also cleaned a lot of gunk out of the slow speed jets, had been taking time to build up an idle speed so reckon this might be the cause, mains were fine. Gave all the valves a tighten too and fresh plugs'n air filter.

Just waiting now on the rocker cover gaskets and 1 rocker cover bolt, snapped while I was just hand turning it in. Ouch!

When it's together I'll let you know how she runs.

On the VFRWorld site. Under the bit that said attachments when I originally posted.
Then I went and clicked the 'insert image' icon and copied the url from it's properties.

From my end the picture keep appearing then dissapering each time I go to this page.

Oh yes! Always clean them and the flaot bowls. Checked the diaphragm rubbers to.
On no3 cyl carb some of the black coating has worn off the engine side of the slide but it moves nice and free so not worried.

I also stick a couple of blobs of white paint on the top of the rear adjusting screws so that I can see 'em when balancing.
