Hello all, I originally signed up here to lurk and do some research on a potential VFR purchase. I ended up getting a near mint 1998 VFR with 10,000 miles on it because of all the passion and enthusiasm on this board. The only thing I have done to it is mount Pilot Road 2s, new brake pads, fluid change, new battery, Rick's R/R, and VFRness. Much thanks to all the great info that can be found on this site. I like doing a little bit of all types of riding. Mostly touring and street riding, although I do like mixing it up in the dirt and track. I'm still relatively new at the track (novice group rider here). I've only done 4 trackdays in 5 years (haha I have taken the intro course twice because of the long breaks) but hope to get at least that many in this year alone to improve my skill. Oh yeah, I met someone at a trackday on June 13th (or 12th?) at Summit Point Raceway with a R/W/B 6th gen, he says he frequents the forums. Nice meeting you, maybe I'll see you on here sometime.
The 5th Gen is a great bike and better yet, you got one with low miles. I had a '99 and loved it. Congratulations and welcome.
welcome. I wonder who it was you met... I ride an old beat up 5th gen. Mine used to be all nice and shiny but some asshole has dropped it a few times.
