Hi ther Im sure that This type of Question has been asked many times! But I have a vfr 750 fv with 80.000 miles on the clock and it is still going very well however it has been in more than a few scrapes with me and looks a real state so would like some advice on the best way of making it into a nked bike with out spending much on it! The main thing been the clocks and lights/ indicators is it a very dificult task? or not really at all.
As you can probably tell Im not that mechanicaly minded hence the thread! But I try. Any advice would be apreciated.

    Many thanks

I am a big fan of street fighters .and have built 2 of them myself . taking of the body work is not the hard part. Its trying to make them look right with out it.You cant just go out and buy custom parts for that old of a bike. You will have to make almost all your own parts. And if you do not know how to do that it could run you alot.look at my pics and you will see what i mean. All my bikes are oneoff and all hand built.

I'll play devils advocate on this one since Jamey took the Pro role already.

Google "1997 VFR 750 naked" and you'll get very few - if any - results on the images. Why? Because the VFR's were not designed to be without their full dress and most everyone knows it. The innards of the VFR exposes many hoses and ugly components, unlike the GSXR's or CBR's that are so popularly Street Fightered out these days. Those bikes have less unfinished components that are visible with the plastics off, and are designed to be presented either way. The VFR on the other hand is a sport/touring motorcycle, built to be comfortable, accelerate hard and ride smooth while looking 10 x's better than it's competition. Without the plastics, lets be honest... they're not very pleasing to the eye.

Leave her dress on, if you wanna ride a Street Fighter then get an F4i and go to town! I'm just sayin....

yes a vfr is hard to make look right with out all the fairings. I took mine of cuz the last guy that had it did not know how to ride. and there was not much left of them. but i see your point.we all like what we like.

I have considered making a street fighter and after seeing this I think anything is possible.
This is one of the nicest vfr's I have seen street fightered and damn clean lines.
Anyone know the story on the build of this one????
