I got a great deal on mirror extenders from

    Burkhartcycle.com

1'' CNC machined Delrin with longer SS bolts included. $18.00 for 6th. Gen. $23.00 for 5th. Gen. plus shipping from Hope Indiana. Pay with credit card or Paypal.

I've seen some prices floating around at $35.00 and up. :ncb: I felt it my obligation to pass this on to the rest of the forum.

I won't pretend to compete with someone who has a CNC machine. I don't have that kind of capital. Plus, the extra 1/2" on mine really does make a big difference. I used to have 1" extenders and you can't see behind nearly as well.

I'm not getting rich on my parts. I have about 1 hour worth of work into every pair, plus materials, plus shipping. I'm also not upset if you want to buy someone else's parts.

Just felt obilgated to respond since your thread was a direct slam on what I posted.

Lobster's extenders are the perfect thickness (1-1/2") and make a world of difference in viewing. No need to move your shoulders from side to side to see around them.

I believe 1" extenders might disappoint anyone who may buy them, but I could be wrong.

Lobster's extenders also fit perfectly and look like they came OEM with the bike. I would weigh the difference in cost against the difference in view, and I think you'll find the little bit more you pay for the Lobstenders will give you exactly what you are looking for and, hence, a much bigger bang for your buck.

    Noob question,

Why do the mirrors need to be extended? I have only had my bike 1 week and I cannot go anywhere without someone trying to knock them off in a parking lot. I am thinking about gluing razor blades and rusty nails to the ends :D

Maggot, I should have looked at them on your bike this morning. It was nice meeting you.

Duck, sorry for the late reply. Nice to meet you too! I need extenders to see around my own wide self. My 3/4 Joe Rocket jacket has thick arms. My Tourmaster jacket seems narrower so my rear vision is better. For the non-horizontally challenged extenters are not needed.
