Hello everyone. I'm not trying to hijack the thread but I have a similar issue. I'll get right to it.

I need help finding gear for Dr. Mrs. The Revengel. She's going to be a tough one to find gear for for the following reasons:

She's 4'10", Zaftig (that's busty/curvy for those who don't know), wears a size 5 1/2 (at the largest) shoe and had tiny hands. Think Burger King commercial (without the obvious CG - a woman's XS is about an inch too long on her fingers). Helmet is about the only place where I don't need to worry.

To break this down topic by topic:

Jacket. Is there a good source for protective gear that is cut for a curvy short woman? Or am I looking at custom gear? Or should I get an armor set & find a jacket that she can wear over it?

Gloves/Boots. Should I consider getting a set of kids gloves/boots? Will they be protective enough? Has anyone out here had a similar experience?

Pants: Should I try to go kids or have adult stuff hemed? Most of her stuff she get's hemed (unless it's Capri pants which fit just fine) but the concern I have with having someone hem the pants is the placement of the protective armor/pads.

Anything you can do to help would be great!

    Thank you,

    Revengel

Cundalini and KrispyRider both dress up in all that girlie stuff. They will both have tons of useless advice for you and color combinations that will dazzle.

Prior to that, try Google or Bing. Not as much clothing for the ladies but a bunch more than there used to be. 5 1/2 in a mens size or a womans size? For custom stuff, be prepared to wait and pay the price. For leathers try Bates in California. Custom boots in any size, try Dehner's in Nebraska. Tons of gloves out there..

Could you share how one goes about determining the gender of a motorcycle? Looking up the pipe is iffy at best.

Shouldn't be a problem assuming you're looking up the right pipe. It's the top one, taint the bottom one.

    Back in the day.
We return to those thrilling days of yesteryear.
    Once upon a time.
    I remember..
    We used to..
    Ect.

The caveat here is that for some dudes, all of the above could be yesterday ;)

Zundapp made a 250 twostroke with a Siamese exhaust port configuration. Then we got the famous AJS "Porcupine" that might be a little tough to figure out.

Anyway, WTF do I do now with naming this SR-500 and I sure hope at least nobody here is thinking about using either pipe unless the bike has cooled off some and nobody is watching.

    back to the gear...

my wife has about the same issue with the gloves. Her first pair was kid sized, and now she has a pair of small alpine stars that fit well. I can't say much for the jacket, but because of her fun b- er - chest, she does have to wear a larger size. The helmet holds it down when she is riding and does not allow it to come up.

And there are some manufacturers now specializing in women's motorcycle gear. All pink and stuff.
