    Hello VFR fans,

I've got an '86 VFR750F and the plastic spedometer 'glass' is cracked, so I ordered a new part. The darn plastic bolts that hold the cover 'glass' on are stuck and won't budge. I can tell that the socket just wants to spin on the bolthead, so I dn't want to snap them off and then have to drill 'em out. Any suggestions for loosening those things up? I'd try something like WD-40, but I'm afraid that might cause some melting and make matters worse. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

    Thanks, greenyogi8

Come on, all you VFR FANS! Any suggestions appreciated.

Help me make my '86 look proper. The cracked lens cover just doesn't match the low 27K miles!

are you sure they arent ornamental? on my G3 these "bolts" are just molded into the plastic, the real bolts that hold the speedo in are on the back side of the dash.... just thinking
