I was aboot to go on a rant aboot how single focused the sport bike industry is and how limp the rest of the choices are past that and thought better of it. Good for the VFR 1200!

No. Other brands have more to offer and it is not the first time Honda has let me down.Discount gen7 to what I bought my 6 for and would still buy another bike.....Fond of many other bikes that are older and better.Stone cold fact.

Congrats to the new VFR & Honda for presenting a bike so different it's a Paradigm Shift.

Actually I think that sums up the split in the VFR crowd.

This bike is such a leap from the 6th gen (of which I've owned two including The Knight Saber) that it can't be viewed as an evolution. Nice one.

    Good job Honda!

If I was a guy like Jay Leno, I'd buy one. But, since I'm not, and can only afford one bike, I will stick with my 6th gen. Yeah, it's completely different, but it's still going to be a rock solid machine.

At the press event the kind of asked whether we thought it was an evolution or possibly a revolution... I don't know. I like it. I don't love it. Kind of the way I felt about the 6g, though. Hell, there are still things I don't like about my 5g but I'm too cheap to buy anything else right now. I look at it this way, now we have a whole new generation of VFR riders to get on here and tell us why they love their bikes and then we get to argue about why gear driven cams are better, etc etc...

I think that's great. Doesn't the VFR win some type of category every year? The 7th Gen is just continuing that legacy. I wouldn't say that I'm a fan of the bike yet, but I do want to see it succeed. Give me 5 - 10 years and then I'll probably be on one.
