I unfortunately have had quite a few problems with my bike. I had my bike at a dynotune shop as I am having problems with the fuel injection light coming on and the bike stalling. They have since taken it to a dealer to look at. Here is the neat part, the dealership called the guy at dynotunes and told him that my rear tire was mounted backwards!! This same dealership was responsible for putting the new tire on my bike last year when they safetied it!!
Now my question... I have put on 2800 miles on that tire, will it be safe to put it on properly now or should I fight with them to have a new tire put on? Any and all input will be appreciated.

I would push for a new one. Not a fan of multiple mounts of a single tire.

Hope you have proof they did it.I keep all my paperwork. If you do I would make them give you a new tire and mount and balance it FREE!Some people are good at getting their way and others not.I usually do but my buddy can't to save his life.If you are good at it demand they fix it...New tire for sure.

If they dont give you a new one i can help you take the tire off and reverse it. I've put them on wrong and had to reverse them..not that hard to do..

BTW is the >>>>>>>arrow>>>>>pointing toward the front when the arrow is at it's highest point of rotation on the tire?

Honestly, if it doesn't have too much mileage and the bead isnt chewed from tire irons, it is safe to ride on...but see if you can get a new one first...and keep the old one as a spare.

Since you have a newer bike it should have an ODB2 port..Scan it and see whats going on unless it's under warranty and you want them to fix it...all can be fixed..

    regards

I accidentally put my front on backwards once after someone told me it looked backward and I didn't know better. I rode on it for a while that way before switching it back. It didn't hurt anything. The rear probably is fine also althought if you already have 2500 miles on it I'd think it's about done anyway so I'd just leave it on til the end unless they are gonna give you a freebie.
