Where is quality control hiding !! Seems to be a lot of this with new models. The Aprilia RSV4 comes to mind. I'm sure there have been others but I can't think of them.

Hard to say about the rest of the world, but in America, QC is a marketing tool.

After doing 1000 miles on my VFR in a week I got the recall. One bit of good news as I told em to keep it and swap for a DCT version ! RESULT

I have a VFR1200 that I bought in a private sale in June 2013. Yesterday I noticed that my MOT was due and should have been done in October. I haven't been on the bike for about four weeks. Called around and got an MOT booked. Fired up the bike and funny loud noise from the bike and engine stopped after 15 seconds. The bike has only done 4300 miles from new, serviced 1000 miles ago at a dealer. Out of warranty by six weeks. Ah crap. The VIN does fall under the bike recall VIN numbers. Time to see what is going to happen and what Honda are going to come up with......watch this space!
