Just wated to say hi. I bought a '97 VFR750 new (and sold) and now TODAY bought a '02 800 that is in absolutely perfect condition. I have been missing my VFR since I sold it.

Since I have been out of the loop for a while, can anyone recommend a link to a thread about hard luggage? This bike will be for mostly long trip duty and would like to hear opinions. The search turned up mostly bickering and anti-luggage. I have heard about GIVI, but it seems like some do not like the name (or is it the price).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Welcome and congratulations! How do you like the new one compared to the '97? Do post up some pics too.

Thanks!. Honetly, it has been a while since I owned the 97 and it is hard to compare. I will say that there is quite a bit more power with the 800 and Vtec :)

Here are some pics I took today:

I knew this thing was clean as the previous owner seemed extremely anal but WTF??? Here are some pics from under the fairing. I don't think this thing has ever seen rain or dirt.

4k miles. Paid $3500. I think I stole it, but am not complaining.

Your title states that you found the perfect VFR but I am obligated to tell you that Red is NOT the fastest color! Congrats and welcome abaord!! Please post your location in your profile so that we can harass you into going on some group rides in the future.
