    Just thought I would post about this legendary bike...I looked into the history of the VF1000R that I have and wanted to know more about it and ran across this bike and allot of info about it.     You know whats a shame , that i just saw that paint scheme on the DC metro bus (wish i took a pic of it)

    It`s a shame that Honda built such a great V4 engine & races an inline4 now ???

    Both bikes had the first gear driven cams in a V4. The first production bike with gear driven cams was the 85 VF1000R.

    I second that!
    Along the same lines, I would like them (AMA) to go back to a structure that makes sense. Today you just never know what the hell is running against what.
