As usual, Den's bringing up the sweep position! I stayed in Fallbrook until yesterday morning, got home mid-afternoon.

Major THANX! to Reg and Terri for putting up with us. You two are the BEST!

It was great seeing you crazies again, as well as meeting a lot more of this menagerie of characters. I'm really glad everyone got home safe and sound. Also want to thank everyone who has posted pix of the goings on, since I didn't take any.

Well first and foremost thanks for hosting and putting me up in 1st class accomodations.
I rode down with the intention of buying a sleeping bag, but instead I was allowed a bunk in the trailer.
My head wasn't right for the trip, as I have a little bit of heavy stuff going on in my personal life. So I made a few bad decisions.
Thanks ( and sorry to ) chuckie silversurfer and mr den for forgiving me for ( I hope ) my noobie maneuver with that slow moving vehicle with all the bicycles.
Also, when me and Bweiss took a quick break on the side of the road and I wound up waiting for people that already had passed, once again - my bad.
I hate that I feel like I cut everyone's ride short after I made a few mistakes, I am just now getting over my embarrassment and figured I should post up and express my gratitude.
I don't have the time to thank every single person for everything I got out of this trip, but here is a short list.
Nor Cal Posse - Helping me get there and back in 1 piece. I love you all and you know it!!!!!!
Reggie and his wife ( I dint remember the correct spelling so I am leaving it at that. f**king good time with the tequila in the kitchen that night Reggie thank you ).
Lets see who else.... Marrib for being such a cool mofo. God you cracked me up. Chuckie and Mr. Den as well. And of course the mighty silversurfer. Glad I met you guys and I am a better person for having met you.
Cebu and Drewl just for being who you guys are. Words of encouragement that you guys give us. Priceless. Man you guys know how to make a guy feel better when he is feeling down.
Derstuka. Dude. When you came to find me when I was lost - I rode the hell out of my bike on the road behind you, I know you were going slower then you had to, but you sure pushed me into the right zone. I learned quick how to keep my bike more upright while hanging turns. Made me a better rider that day, without putting me in danger.
Of course the lovebirds as well. Long and his lady reminding us all that their is more to life then just bikes.
Bob and the others taking pictures - I have enough pictures of me and my bike to cover all my PCs in nice wallpaper now.
JTC for showing up and letting me get to have a few drinks with em.
Oh yeah, crusty couldn't make it, but I have a full suit of dainese armour that I LOVE compliments of him ( hence my cap'n America avatar ) and it keeps me safe.
There was also some wierd canadian guy there that I am quite fond of. :)
    Slo aviator
    shannon
Cant remember everyone's name that was there, but I can say this. Best bunch of people I ever met.
I am thankful for every single one of you guys.... I know I have left a few names out - it wasn't on purpose I am just up at midnight recalling the events and putting names up. Sorry
got back home and had to make up for missed hours at work, so this is the first time I have had to sit down interrupted for more then 10 minutes.
I am sure I am missing a few peeps, and it isn't intentional.
    THANKS REGGIE THANKS VFRWORLD
I hope I get invited back next year.

Well I have finally made it home arriving at 17:10 Wednesday June 2. I stopped about 5 miles from the border due to serious neck pains. Hurt like hell pulling the gloves off and taking my helmet off was just excruciating. Just about called the wife to come and pick me up. In my whole arsenal of pain killers and other stuff, nothing would touch it. But by Compressing the side of the neck, it seemed to settle enough to make It the last 30 miles home. But all was worth it.

Won’t go over the trip down there as all was [previously reported. Except that this was my first visit to Eureka. And it will not be my last. Gong to load up the fifth wheel sometime and take the wife down that way. No one has caught up to me yet for blowing the toll gate on the Golden Gate Bridge. I think Interpol is after me though. But UFRR does not have any agreements with Interpol so fuggem.

The stay at Terri and Reggie’s was to say the least, grand. A more gracious host and hostess will be hard to find if ever. But I gotta say, everyone there were incredibly disrespectful towards me. Making fun of my accent. No doobt aboot it eh. Even the gas bars would not accept my credit card. The pumps kept asking me for a zip code. I mean WTF is a zip code. Something you use to take a leak? Had to go inside to prove that I was a real person.

Well the ride was good. Learned a valuable lesson I did. It seems like common sense that in a group situation, when making a turn onto another road, the last rider would wait for the following rider to make sure he sees where the group turns, and in turn, that rider waits for the person following him. And so on until the last person arrives. No one gets lost. Well we failed that task. But it is something I will take with me from here on in.

Saturday night it was partaaa tiiime. I behaved switching to water half way through the evening.

Sunday saw everyone leave for home. Drewl and I stayed on for another evening. Terri, Reg, Drewl and I went out for Mexican. I have never had Mexican other than Taco Bell. Never had a burrito. So, did so Sunday night. And some bean sauce of some sort. Shit……I am still leaking foul air today because of that. But it was good.

Mid morning Monday Drewl and I hit the road. It was good riding other than a couple times being stuck behind tourists. Fuggen tourists. They should stay home. But once on the I-5, it was clear sailing. And the traffic was moving very well. We stopped at ToeCutters and met some of the boys there. I got to meet Flynn. Randy and I have conversed over the net but it is always nice to meet the person in the flesh. He has a real nice bike. I took photos of it but be damned if I was not to lose my camera later.

Picked up a hitchhiker there. A funny little bugger. Small enough to fit in my saddle bags. Peculiar looking too. Funny red hat, huge lips and a complexion that looked like wool. I think he is the byproduct of some drunken Scot fucking a sheep up on the Glenn.

Driving through Willows was carefully executed. You may remember I had a meeting with CHP last year that I was not eager to repeat. But I did stop there for dinner at the Black Bear restaurant. Great food there. Stopped there last years as well. Then it was off again for Redding. But was not ready to stop there so kept on to Weed. Had to stop to dawn some rain gear but then the padding of my helmet started to fall out. And it was so dark I could not see what was going on. Fortunately a CHP pulled up and offered some light. Couldn’t have been at a more opportune time. Anyways a few miles later I called it a night at Weed.

Next morning I got up, washed some clothes at the local truck stop then headed out. Somewhere here is where I lost my camera. I posted up on the Internet Lost and Found. Who knows. So, from here I go to Eugene Oregon and spent the night there. Nothing too exciting happened here except that there sure are some nice sweeping curves going through those passes. Rain had just started when I pulled into Eugene. There was a HD rider staying at the same hotel that just “had” to park his bike out of the rain.

Next morning it was off again. And it rained. It rained so hard every animal I saw was walking in the same direction in pairs. They were all going to some old fuckers yard who was building the ugliest fucking boat I have ever seen. Anyways it rained for the whole day. In total, I maybe had 1 hour of no rain.

FUCK I HATE PORTLAND! I think the designer of the freeways there was either on LSD or was paid off by the merchants of down town Portland. Like a big fucking black hole that swallows you up, then has you driving round and round and round and round. Did I mention I hate Portland? Even my GPS lady was having a hissy fit. Think she got so stressed that she went home on Long Term Disability. There they call the I-5, the I-405. Portland sucks the big Kahoona. No wonder I ended up going everywhere but the right direction. The best view of Portland is in your rearview mirror as you enter Vancouver Washington on the other side of the river. Know what I think of Portland?

Anyways I continue on. Damned it is raining. The good thing is though, other than getting stuck in down fucking town Portland, I can make great time in the rain. I kept it just under 90 mph all the way. People were really good at moving over from the fast lane when I approached. But then I was using my “get the fuck out of my way” HID lights the whole way except in the dark. Had an hour or so on this day without rain. But time I got to Everett; my so called waterproof gloves were so wet, if I clenched my fist, water ran out of my hands. I had intended earlier to stop in Olympia again to say hello to RVFR again but my neck said to me to keep going and get home. In hindsight, it probably would have been a better idea to have stopped. Finally I find my way to the Sumas Border Crossing and into home land. And it is still raining. And the last five miles or so there were really strong winds too. If I were to fart, I would create a bubble bath.

It was a great trek. Terri and Reg, as said before, your two are the greatest. There are far too many people to mention here but I would be amiss if I did not mention the love birds. Long, you have yourself a beautiful lady there. You look after her. Mr Den. I was so happy that I was not the oldest person there. I will PM you for that BBQ sauce recipe. That was the best BBQ sauce I have tasted by far. And Stuke. I am so happy that you made it and I was finally able to meet you. You are the gentleman of this site for sure. Too bad you are not like that in real life. Norcal Boy scares the shit out of me. I didn’t know he was a ninja. Cebu. Thanks for the pix. I can copy many that you took and just about cover anything I had taken. And not the least Drewl. Thank you for the company on part of the ride home. Everyone else are just as special in their own way.

I am looking forward to next year already.

On this trip my bike passed the 100,000 km mark. I am happy to say Sockey and I shared this exciting moment in the rain in the middle of Seattle on the I-5.

Glad you made it home safely, Prime Minister. It was a pleasure meeting and riding with you. I must say that you have ridden in more rain in the last 2 weeks than I hope to ride in for a lifetime.

    So Randy,

How the hell can you get lost in Portland? I'm from there and its just too simple. If you miss a turn, stay on the road, it will bring you back to where you were. Also, WTF were you doing on I5 in downtown Portland???? Don't you freakin' Cunucks know that you need to take the alternate I205 route???
