looking for people to ride with in Central PA.

Just joined the site here today and thought I would see how many people are from Central PA.I live near Williamsport Pa and I'm looking for some other people to go on rides with. Bought a 07 left over VFR from a local dealer in March and for the most part all my friends ride cruisers.I always had rice rockets the in line 4's. been riding for about 22 years so this isn't my first sport bike but it is the first V4 for me.If anyone has any rides going or just want to meet up and ride on a Saturday or Sunday send me a message please.Look forward to meeting you all in the forums or on the road.

Hi, I'm from the Williamsport area, just bought a 07 leftover also. I heard that there is a Memorial ride saturday for Sean Thomas who was killed in Iraq. Reg. is from 9:00am to 11:00am
at the Muncy VFW ride starting at 11:00. My daughter and I are thinking about riding it. Bob

Thanks Toe Cutter.I really like how you switched the wheels around on your bikes.Makes it look sweet.Yeha I had the wheels PC white soon as I got the thing home.The black just didn't look right and I saw the white VFR with White wheels and loved it.

 

Goto the thread entitled (it right near yours) "...getting a feel for a Poconos ride" go to the end of that thread. I will be meeting the other inmates at the Dunkin Donuts on Rt 17 in Sloathsburg at 7am this Sunday.

You can always meet Pocono VFR and ride up with him, I think he's about 2 hours from you. He will have a meeting point at the Gap Welcome center.

 

Hi Vince. I'm always looking for other VFR riders. I'm not exactly in your area either, but probably within a meeting point somewhere in between. I'm in the Kempton area, about 103 miles and 2 1/2 hours from Williamsport.

In your direction I've been as far as the Bloomsburg area. There is a ride heading up there on this Sunday from Martin Motorsports in Boyertown, but I know that would also be a hike for you just to get down here by around 9am, and then turn around and head right back up there. I just thought I would throw that out there about the Martin rides and First Sundays FYI.

I rode with two of the Pocono/NJ crew (PoconoVFR & Pliskin) a couple months ago for the first time starting from a closer/central meeting point. They are a couple of really nice dudes that I look forward to riding with again in the future. It was a great ride and a good time. Don't be shied away by the sarcastic comments you see exchanged between them all... after a while I realized they are just having fun with one another.

Vince.....some of the crew will be coming from Lebenon. They get the same ride. Timmahthecop is coming from DC. If you can make it love to have ya' if not we should hook up and put some stuff together out that way. Oh yeah and welcome.

 

Yeah I would love to meet up and ride with some other VFR people.the ride on Sunday is just bit far for me and I would have to leave my house at 3am to make it at 7am and I have no idea about that area...

 

We ride to Bloom on some Wednesday nights for Bike night at Quaker steak and lube.Last time we were there was 585 bikes there. not to bad.thats about 1/2 way point for you and me...

 

Vince I'm planning on going if the weather isn't real bad.

 

I was thinking of going but 70% chance of rain isn't looking to good

 

It will proably be this first time the weatherman will be right on.

You may not be available for this Sunday, but in the future there is a big bike meet in Ephrata PA every first Sunday of the month, I was there Easter Sunday and about 1000 bikes showed up then. With warmer temps, it reaches upwards of 4000 bikes.

I will be there this Sunday.
