Ok, now I know this is gonna sound funny, and I'm sure there will be the standard, 'well, just strap him down", "use bungycords", "how bout stuffing him under a cargo net"...comments..Ha, But really... I have a two person Corbin seat with the backrest, very nice seat, that I have on my new VFR. I have tried to take my passenger on the back twice now and well, it's not really working that great. It's bad enough that I had to work for weeks to get this person convinced to just try it, but now his butt and body size is so small they he can not sit all the way back on the seat without sliding forward every time I break. I'm breaking softly, but he still slides forward. He does not know yet how to sit all the way back, using the backrest, and then using his legs to prevent the sliding into me. Not only is this unsafe, but it scares him and makes it nerve-wracking for us both. I was wondering if anyone else has EVER has had this problem. He is 5'1" and has a 26" inseam. Tiny little thing I know.. well, hell, he's Japanese. I thought about a strap going from the side bolts for him to hand onto, or trying to teach him to prevent the sliding forward with the use of his legs against the foot pegs.. grin, but damn.. I'm really stumped. So, any ideas that are "helpful" are really appreciated. Not sure if there is another seat out there that might be better or maybe after I add the Givi Bags and backrest if that will help. Thanks guys!
dude im sorry to say this but your in san francisco.. just have him haang on... it wont look out of place at all there... im just messin with ya.. well imo the first thing i would do is try to increase the friction of his tooshy to the seat when my wife rides with me to do this we use what baseball players use to hang onto their bats a lil pine sticky tacky spray on stuff we dont have to use a lot and does wonders. if that fails go get a pillow made of foam rubber and put it between you so that its snug with him all the way back.. maybe try a pillow.. just my thoughts.. and sorry if i annoyed you with my first comment its jsut the first thing i think about when i hear san fransisco uttered kinda like arkansas buncha backwoods rednecks that inbreed profusely ahhahehhehahah
most hardware stores sell a anti slip mat, used for cupboards-under rugs ext ,cut a pc down to size and lay on seat, cost is no more than a couple $,i have taken my kids on long trips using this and works very well
I do realize that you are in San Fran, but what you're asking is a flagrant violation of Man Law so I can't offer any solution to your problem other than buy your "friend" a 50cc scooter. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
