    Hi there-
So I'm writing this post because my boyfriend is outside trying to get his bike running. He just changed the clutch and now the bike starts and revs but as soon as he puts it in gear the bike stalls. Any suggestions??? I feel so bad for him; he's sooooooo frustrated!
    He has a 1986 VFR 700.
    Thanks for your help!

did the '86 have a sidestand safety switch?

Try putting the sidestand up or checking the wiring going to the sidestand.

    Will the clutch disengage ???

If he puts the bike in gear, can he push it while squeezing the clutch lever ??
