Curious where to find frame sliders for my machine. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

all I do is work on this bike...not sure if it'll ever make the streets.

VFRhusband made a custom set for himself, for a gen3, and posted a thread I believe. As the fairing completetly covers the two engine mounting bolts, it is definitely a project that will involve cutting two holes in your fairing at exactly the right spot.
If anyone has ever seen a more local commercial kit offered, - post up.

ok i found frame sliders at VFR750 PARTS (a little expensive) but it's hard to tell if they are for 90-93 or for 94-97... will frame sliders for a 94-97 fit on a 90-93?

I also found these Google Translate

    SUZUKI

basically i'm looking for something that i can use as a highway peg to rest my foot for a few minutes so i can stretch my knee out

Pick a spot, reduce your speed and stand up on the pegs. Makes your buns feel good too.

unfortunately that can end up with a stunting charge here. plus it doesn't take pressure off my knee

Sounds like you have both bad law and bad knees that need fixing.

Those sliders can be mounted. It will necessitate making holes in your fairing. Sliders are slick and if standing on the pegs is stunting then surely the Nazis who are dreaming up legislation and allowing the Gestapo to decide and enforce these acts, then IMO, you'd get busted for having your feet off the pegs anyway.

An alternative would be to buy the sliders and associated hardware and instead of mounting the actual sliders a set of highway pegs for one of the metric crusers.

Solutions might be to get your knee fixed or get a cruiser.

If your knee problem is medical perhaps to look into use of your national health care system.

feet off the pegs isn't a problem, it's butt off the seat... as for the knee, the problem is that fixing it will cause more damage than leaving it. plus i like the extra protection that frame sliders will give the bike. nothing wrong with wanting to protect the bike from harm right? i suppose i could just look at it instead of riding it, then there would be less damage and wear and tear on a bike meant to be ridden.
