    Hello All;

    I ordered the SW-Motech mirror extenders from Twisted Throttle for my yellow 2000 VFR.

    SW-MOTECH part# SPV.01.266.002, website says it fits 99-01 VFR800

    This item did not fit, The holes in the delrin block needed to recessed so the gasket would fit into the extender blocks, AND the supplied screws were too long.

    It seems as though SW-motech, and others say that their product fits non-gasketed mirrors, what gives? Do some Y2Ks come with a gasket bewteen the mirror and fairing mount. and others do not? :confused:

    Does anyone know of a mirror extender out there for a Y2K with gaskets?

    Thanks

    You could try Lobster on VFRDiscussion. He makes extenders. I have a set. They are pretty good.

    Err ?

    Does the gasket fit between the extender and the mounting point on the fairing, or between the mirror and the extender ?

    Anyway, annoying as it may be, it's no biggie to run a drill into a block of plastic to countersink the holes , is it ?

    Hello

    The gasket fits between the extender and the mounting area on the fairing. And while I could drill out a chamfer, I should not have to. The part I ordered was supposed to fit. Besides that the kit comes with mounting screws that are too long. My point is that this p/n from twisted throttle isn't as advertised.

    I did return the unit, in hopes of trying to locate the correct fitting items.
