Does anyone have any ideas of what exaust might work on an 85 vf1000r bike was laid down last week. Had the body work done just have a bit of an issue with the exaust thought I might try to find something else to work since vf1000r exaust is impossible to find. I have f1 pipes on it now.

    My suggestion?

If the head pipes are good, I would get some 2-1 collectors from Burns Stainless and make my own. Front 2 into 1 out the right, rear 2 into 1 out the left. Make your own connector pipes from short pieces bent at the local muffler shop. Cans, whatever. Someone was talking about using fart cans from imports, as long as the inlet matches, why not.

Once upon a time I looked at connectors and cans from a Hayabusa. Did not measure them, but they looks awful close. Can pick up a set on fleabay from a song as the squids alwasy take them off immediately.

    Get creative, make something.

There's a stock like-new set on eBay right now if you want to go that way. I also though about the Hayabusa or RC51 cans.

Yah seen those ones but already have carbs set up for after market exaust and really would like to stay with something that still gives that V-4 its rumble. Was looking at the blackbird exaust but didn't know if it was even close to matching up. I figured I would have to work with my local exaust guy a little but just trying to do something a little different with out giving up the true look of the bike. I dont want to make it look like a redneck rocket.
