    Hey all,

Could someone please tell me what the three black plastic pipes are that are on the left hand side tucked in just under the bottom of the fairing? one of them is leaking oil and I don't know where its coming from as the engine oil isnt going down.

    Cheers!

Are you talking about the open-ended hoses that point down at the ground? None of them should leak oil, they are the fuel tank air vent, fuel tank overflow, radiator reserve tank breather. If they are leaking fluid, it would be coolant or gas.

Yes those pipes, it is the smallest one closest to the front wheel that is the issue. its dripping something and when I touch the pipe itself the liquid is black. Fuel consumption has been at its best this past tank so i don't think that's the problem and I have checked the oil and it doesn't seem to be oil.

    Any suggestions?

The three lines are vent/overflow lines. One is for coolant overflow, one is for fuel tank overflow, and the other is for venting the tank so that a vacuum lock is not created as gas is used. If you overflow the gas tank, or spill some outside the the filler opening, it will drain out of one of thise lines. They get very dirty being open to the outside... add some age to that and some degridation of the rubber hoses and you will get a very black liquid coming out of your lines.

Thanks for the info! I also have a clear liquid that drips out one of them that stains the floor. It smells almost like oil.
Any ideas what it could be?

    That would probably be coolant.
