I bought a touring shield some time ago and it just caused too much wind noise. Went back to stock and was much much better. I always ride with a tank bag a rather big bag to carry all my little stuff. I left it off just because I did and the wind noise level was even better than with just the stock screen. So I cut the touring screen on my band saw. I cut it even lower than stock and put a slight dip in the middle of it---- went for a ride with out the tank bag and the new lowered screen and found the happy place for noise. Just clean air hitting me mid chest no buffeting, virtually no wind noise. What a find this was for me. The wind noise was the only problem I had with the VFR and no there is none. wilburj

I've tried cutting a screen after reading some positive comments about it. It didn't work for me. It made a lot more noise than stock and I essentially ruined my good Zero Gravity SR in the process. If anybody wants to try it I've got a dark smoke ZG SR with 2.25" cut off the top. I'm using an MRA vario right now, so far it hasn't proven to be worth it's cost. I'm going to run it for a while longer and then switch back to stock to see how much difference there is.

I've noticed I get more wind noise when I have a passenger, but I haven't noticed a difference with the tank bag.

Will do! It's a smoked screen. I'm 6'0 on the dot though.

Got it and installed the windshield today, literally took 4 minutes.

Riding it upright, I couldn't tell that much of a difference, however, riding tucked at highway speeds makes a pretty big difference. You literally can't hear anything except the bike, which is pretty cool. Windshield is much taller than the stock one.

The quality is just fine as far as I can see. I put some Original bike cleaner on it and it's completely spotless (came a little greasy outta the package).
