So I got dragged ( massive hangover ) out to ride today with some friends. We parked at Dilly's in PA for some food. My 2003 VFR, a 2008 SV650, a 98 GSXR 1000 and a 2002 BMW K1200s are lined up as we go to get the food. A boy and a girl in the 7-10 range are asking all kinds of questions which we happily answer, we move on and I am watching the kids s they keep checking them out. After a little while I hear them both say they liked the VFR the best, it brought a smile to my face.

    I have had a similar experience. Although, I must admit - when I see a Ducati 996 I go weak in the knees . . . .

    Very cool.

When I owned my SV650S, people would always stop and comment about riding motorcycles. Now that I ride a VFR, people always stop and talk about the bike itself. Honestly, it takes twice as long to gas up the VFR than any other bike I've owned/ridden.....people constantly approach me and wanna talk (Which I love doing!). The best is when you get a former VFR owner come up.......they *always* get that "Oh crap, why did I get rid of that bike" look in their eyes.

We're pretty lucky people, ya know.

I had the same thing happen. I used to ride with this guy who had a 1985 Kawasaki GPz 750 turbo. We pulled into this country cafe and a brother and sister about 8 or 9 years old stop to look at our bikes...the boy says , "I like his motorcycle (pointing at my VFR) and the sister says, "so do I that one is ugly" (pointing at the Kawi). HAHAHA! I love kids, as long as none of them turn out to be mine!

That is a common event and did you ever notice that they almost never make eye contact with you. It's because they can't take their eyes off your bike and of course because you da man and you never make eye contact with da man.

not serious of course but it does seem to go down that way for one reason or another.

No offense dude but why would you even want to go on a group ride with a massive hangover? I'm 36 years old and it takes me two days to recover from a hard night of drinking and the last place I want to be the day after is on two wheels in the twisties with 3 other bikes around me. I would have voted for the couch and bong instead LOL !!! Just kidding of course since that would be illegal.

My daughter got in to an argument at school with one of her class mates bout the motorcycle that I don't even have home yet. Some how the other little girl said something along the lines that her dads bike was really cool and fast and my princess stood up and said my dad has a VF something and it is the best bike in the world if it wasn't my dad won't own it cause he's the best and coolest dad ever ... I almost cried when I got the teacher told me this. She keep asking me how old she has to be to ride one so I think i'm going to get her one of those pocket bikes

I was and had been on the couch for hours sucking down water. They didn't drag me out until 3 in the afternoon, so while tired I felt I needed to do something. It was either ride or go for a run, and the roads we were going on are fairly tame. Plus, if I didn't do stuff with massive hangovers, I might not be do anything at all!
