In case anyone wants to join in the fun, the annual toy run to Creston from Morro Bay is this sunday. Meet in Avila Beach around 10am. Lunch in Creston.

Myself and Brian should be going, along with a couple other sport bikers, and about a gajillion Harley's

    Nice to meet you guys

Hey guys, nice to run into you (not literally of course). Hope you didn't have any problems when we past you on 229. Didn't look like it, so I didn't stop. What a great day for being on the bikes.

    Randy

Okay... here goes with the pics and story time... Pt. 1

Brrr. It's cold today. Do I really want to go? Ah hell, another pair of pants and an extra shirt should cover it. Here goes nothing....

Does that really say what I think. Hmm, well, I guess I'll manage... Let's get this beast going. Boy she sure is hard to start today.

What's the white stuff on the seat? Hmm, I think those guys up north mentioned this stuff before. Kinda slippery when I sit on it. Wow, I'm starting to feel this cold. Gotta get going before I back out. Say goodbye to the wife and hit it. Not so bad. Gone numb after 1 mile. Well, guess that solves the pain problem. Down the 101 to meet Tori, Brian and Jessie. Much nicer down here. Who would think the 40s could feel nice?

Let's all grab some toys and roll on up to Avila. Can the temp really be over 60 now. Didn't I just leave the house an hour or so ago? Man, this weather is something else.

One of these things is not like the others. One of these things doesn't belong... One of the few times where it appears the sportbikes outnumber the hogs. Glancing down the street tells the rest of the story as Paul Harvey would say. Let's get the show on the road eh?

There's Tori with his little friend waving at me. Kind of hard to get this pic while riding. Hope I don't crash. That sure would be embarassing! We heading from Avila back to Hwy 101 N. Awesome weather. I wish my ipod hadn't locked up 2 days in a row. Oh, well, listen to the rumble of 1000 v-twins and a few v4s... That's music of it's own. What kind of pace is this? Are we really going up Hwy 101 at 60 mph? My speedo must be broken. What are those hand signals Brian is inventing over there next to me. Look at whose butt? I missed the thong. Damn.

Finally...FINALLY made it to Creston. Thought maybe time was travelling backwards for a bit there. Did anyone else notice the guys on bicycles passing us? Let's peel out of this damn gear and go get some food! Food's not too bad. Line moves much faster than I thought. Thanks for the beer Tori...that hit the spot.

    Story continues... Part 2

Alright, we have eaten now let's hit the road. We are already sitting on the 229, it's mandatory to hit the twisty bits. Whoa... slow down and let the sparkly boys cruise on through for a bit... Damn, keep catchin up. Let's stop for a bit and wait...

Here comes Tori. Let's see if he wants to go back the other direction and get some pics on the curves while we let the Hogs go on by... Try and wear some of the sides off these new tires. They are just too pretty...

Ok, here we go. Let's see what we can make happen. This curve is always fun...

    Hello Mr. Harley.

Yeah, lay that bitch down, Tori! Let's see some sparks off those pegs!

    Yeah, let's do it again...

Ok, enough picture time. Let's blast through these curves and raise some hell... Ok, we're a little older so we'll just raise a little purgatory. Down the 229 to the 58 west back to Hwy 101. The pace is getting better without the chrome haulers. Back off 101 in A-town and west on 41 to Morrow Bay. What's this! Hwy 41 is a parking lot! Are you kidding me? this line of cages must be 10 deep. Why bother trying to pass... Just wait it out. Finally. Morrow Bay...Hwy 1 to Los Osos exit. Left on Turri road. Now everyone get the hell outta my way. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about... Feel the the v4 rumble, hear the grinding pegs on that left hander. Now my heart is beating. This is what I have waited all day for. This makes it all worth it. Man, that front tire is light today! Make short work of this road. Well, that's it for me. Hit a U at the end and head back north. Wave at the boys as the head on the other way. One more quick run on Turri then I'll sit up and chill all the way home. That was nice. Another successful run. Lot's of fun and didn't ditch it... Can the temp gauge be right? Geeze, what was it when I started this morning? [IMG]

I guess that is right. Man, I'm sweating. I wonder if R.W. is riding today? I can't wait to write up todays ride for those guys. Maybe they'll wise up and come on down this way. Well, time to cover the old girl up check the board.

Great pics!!! :thumb:Especially those Sport-bikes/Harly pictures, catches the major difference in riding of a Harley and Sportbike, note the positions and the lean angle.

From 27 degrees to 79 degrees??? That 79* picture was just mean...
