Thinking about Track Riding in 2010? NESBA Membership Drive

OK, Bubba, I'm gonna do the introductory track day at NJMP this year. I do need an outlet. I ride a lot and I succumb to the temptation of squiding around on the street from time to time. I need a safer place to go fast and corner hard. A friend was killed yesterday on the highway going too fast into a corner, and it made me think. I'm still sick to my stomach over that.

I'll be slow, so laugh away, but I'm going to do this to become a more skilled and safer rider. Also, my wife now likes to ride pillion and I can't take chances for her. I'm just afraid that I'll get addicted to track days and then want to go often just for the speed and thrill. I can live with that, though!

Jeremy may not have gotten to ride but he overcame some great odds that in the end were just a little too much. A cracked and leaking engine case, broken valve stem, and locked up front brakes. All fixed at the track except the valve stem was done by the local shop. But getting the brake fluid back into the lines proved to be the terminating hurdle. There's always next year...and I've already got that weekend off.

 

NJMP on July 8 with motorcyclexcitement.com next week! Anyone else going?

VIR South South North August 21-23 after that with NESBA. Anybody?

 

Sorry Brakes, we are doing July 16 and 17 at VIR then the game plan is Summit-Main on Septmeber 11 and NJMP-T-bolt on October 3.
