my vfr has been on a diet(which is handy as i have to push it through a stairwell every time i use it)I weighed all my stock parts then aftermarket parts and modded parts. it has lost 12.4kg that is 27.33lb.not bad so far.Changes include staintunes, modded subframe(removed 2.5kg(5.5lb))removed pillion pegs, custom plate hanger, removed grab rails and delinked brakes with an f4i front end.8 spoke rear wheel(lighter than 5 spoke) still to remove pair valve junk and cat once i get a power commander. Then sit back with a beer and think about what else i can do.Got it new in 2004 and cant imagine having any other bike, but it always niggled at me how heavy it was.it vtec transition is silky smooth, power delivery is good,i have a nearly perfect bike::biggrin:mark

Dude - the 8 spoke wheel is actually heavier than the stocker 5 spoke by somewhere by around a pound.

I wondered at it a bit myself. we once did a thread on here where everyone tried to come up with all the ways to lighten the bike no matter the cost. (this was just for the bike not the rider - we have another thread about that)
