Where can i get a good but cheap chain and sprocket kit for my 85 vf1000r. Its ready for a new set up and i dont want to buy the keep stuff that i see on ebay. But I also don't want to pay what my local honda dealer wants. Any advise on this would be greatly appricated.

Good , but, cheap..No such thing. These bikes are heavy, and I would not put cheap chains and sprockets on them, as they will wear out too fast.

Look at RK CHAINS..Often they are sold on eBay in USA , and the prices in USA are so cheap compared to Australian RRP prices. The GOLD RK Chain is GB530 GXW.
From memory, 110 links for an Australian bike with 43T rear sprocket. The USA bikes have 44T rear Sprocket .

The front sprocket is a 17 Tooth item .
I bought a new 44T rear sprocket on eBay some years ago ( genuine HONDA) and a SUNSTAR front sprocket Part # 51217 ( Sunnex, Inc. 700 Watkins Glen Drive, Franklin, Ohio. 45005. )

    Hope this helps

All the best from Down Under
