Hi all, I'm new to this forum and new to the world of owning a VFR750.
I've taken ownership of a 1990 VFR750 with 15K miles on the clock. it's genuine and was owned by a friend of mine. The bike had sat for 7 years and needed a lot of TLC to get it back in running order (tyres, fluids etc). The front suspension was rebuilt with new oil and seals.
The issue I have is that when I brake (and not too hard either) but hit a bump at the same time, the front end feels like it is grounding out. I did increase the air pressure on the forks to 4.5 PSI which helped a bit but still not perfect. Is this a typical for a bike from 1990 and is there anything you could recommend to help fix this?

I'll add some piccies of the bike soon so you can see the beauty up close.

Well, problem solved. A new set of progressive springs sorted it out. Playing around with adding air to the front suspension but the bike is quite happy with no additional air.

Thanks to all the 75 viewers who enjoyed reading my post. I thought this would have been an easy one to help with.

Well, posting in the right forum might have helped you better, you should have posted this in the 3rd gen section.

Hi there, turns out that my bike is a 1989 model but just wasn't registered until 1990 so I have al the benefit of 2nd Gen technology Having owned it now for a few months I'm starting to determine the vintage of it. Time to update the description of my ride in myprofile.
