    Hi,

I've been here on this site for quite some time. . . but I have never posted anything.

I finally got my FIRST bike last saturday and I guess its time to introduce myself and my bike.

I bought a black '92 viffer for $1149 (final negotiation price) at 23k miles. The lady wanted to get rid of it because she is moving to New York.

Anyways. . there is alot of work to be done. Oil change is a first because she didn't ride it for 3 years and its been sitting in the garage. Then gotta get new tires. Plus all the fairings are pretty miserable, for some reason she spray painted the fairings to cover the VFR symbols. Anyways, enough about my babling.

I hope I can get alot of information here. DOES ANYONE know a link or a site that helps with alot of specific DIY (do it yourself) on VFR's? I think it would mean a lot to me.

As I said, this is my first bike ever, hopefully it would treat me right =)

    Here she is:

Even with all the work you need to do, you got a great deal. That's pretty low miles for a VFR, and it should last you for a long time.

There are a lot of do it yourself articles on VFRworld. Here are the two places I would look if I were you:

Keep us posted on your progress, and send more pics!!!! :clap2:

Hi and welcome. Sounds like you made a reat score there, even if there is some work that needs to be done. There are a number of how-to articles here and I see Michael posted the link to help you find them. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I have a 93 myslef and I love it. They look a little different without the badging (or with them covered up). Anyway, it's great to have you here with us. :thumb:

You have found the only site you'll probably ever need. You can also try vfrdiscussion.com but most of us here prefer the layout here and I think our content level is comparable. Plus we have enough people checking both sites that if you ask a question here and no one answers, a lot of times people will crosspost a link to an answer over there. WElcome to the club! Oh, and great deal!

Very nice, I have almost exactly the same bike 92 all black, except it has an Remus slip-on. Good luck with your project. RVFR, what do you mean by rare one? Just wondering since I have the same one.
