HI everyone my name is Ralph i'm 27 and from Broomfield, CO, Just bought my first VFR800. heres a picture before I cleaned her up paint is an orange pearl. Just rode it home and thats it. Can't wait to carve up the canyons any other Colorado members wanna ride ?
thanks a lot guys. Tinkerin we will have to go riding when your done with your project. This is my first bike so looking to make some new friends to help me from killing myself lol.
Nice ride, and welcome. There aren't many of us Vifers in CO, but a few of us try to get togather. Hopefully we'll be putting something togather soon now that weather is trying to get better. You may want to subscribe to this linked thread to keep yourself posted on any future group rides. Untill then; Keep the rubber side down. http://vfrworld.com/forums/usa-mountain/875-denver-colorado-riders-out-there-4.html
Until the project is done, this is me riding today, 10,274ft. It was a bit windy and chilly over 9000:
wellcome aboard ¡¡¡ Nice bike you have there( I have the same bike¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡) You will find friends and alot of info here, enjoy the site
dang Tink. how were the roads? lets go riding next weekend ; ) I take my safety class on Thursday don't think I can handle sandy roads yet. hopefully I'll have my motorcycle endorsement by next weekend.
No sand. The road was very clear. It was more dangerous getting thru Fort Collins with the cagers. Had one "oh shit" moment with the front wheel squeeling when some dumb ass thought about pulling out in front of me. As far as riding next weekend - it's too early to make plans for me. There's weather, wife, and a project to deal with http://vfrworld.com/forums/3rd-4th-...9-new-project-bike-hits-stable-90-vfr750.html But if we don't get together, let me recommend you plan on getting out away from traffic and do some nice riding without too many cagers to worry about for starters.
Tink, no worries just meant it as suggestive. Yea my first ride was from Castle Rock to Broomfield yesterday lots of traffic downtown not exactly a fun first ride after about 8 years since I last rode. This is my first bike, but always rode my Dad's machines and dirt bikes as a kid I'll pm with my info
hey guys just want to update on the vfr its now in the paint booth getting carbon fibered and painted next stop is the turbo system SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GO RACING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my company is hiring if anyone is looking for work MUST BE drug free and alchohol free, and work hard 7 days a week. R.A.F. 720-985-7942
my job is sucking but 7 days a week doesn't sound like fun. And then I'm guessing I'd have less passion for wrenching in my own garage. Some day I'm thinking the weather might turn and people on the front range might be able to ride motorcycles again.
when i get back in town ill show you mine instead 7 days a week 24/7 is how we all roll and we have toys. we are hunting in florida next week
update: just laid fiberglass sealed all hoses and lines put down the primer laid the first flake oh baby its sooo purty. ran out of fiberglass so have to wait a while for a update.
update: i bought the turbo its a garrett off a 2006 F-250 SUPER DUTY for mock up. bike will be bulletproof and the worlds fastest drag bike the final turbo that being built is off a 2011 f-750
