I want to re fit the centre stand to my 750 fj '88, however the previos owner took it off, and some of the parts are missing.

the parts i dont know, as they seem to be missing are (6-plate,mainstand spring) , (15-hook mainstand spring).

what do they do and where do they go? i would be really gratefull if any members could show me some close ups of the parts fitted to their bike, including where the springs fit.

    many thanks in advance

This is a VF / VFR forum, so you may not find anyone with experience with your bike. Just guessing, but it looks to me the spring mounting point for the frame end of the spring. Post some closeups of the stand mounting area, etc. Someone here should be able to figure it out....or find a FJ forum.

its a vfr 750 fj. i guessed i dont need to keep typing vfr as we are on a vfr forum, so therefore we must be talking about vfr's ;)

Being a VF500F guy I didn't know the fj reference. Sorry. I further assumed that it was not a vfr since you have no replies. Someone here must have an answer for you.

Ahh, it all makes sense now. it looks like the plate hooks over the pin, both springs(inside each other) then hook on, and the to the stand itself. sorted :)
